Posyandu Human Life Cycle Approach, Services from Birth to Elderly
The implementation of human life cycle-based services has become the focus of integration in primary health care services in the community. The Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) plays a strategic role as it originates from the initiative of the Village Government and the community to carry out primary health care programs at the village level. With this strategic role, Posyandu has been chosen to deliver health services with a human life cycle approach. Through the Minister of Health’s Decree No. 2015 of 2023 on Technical Guidelines for Integrating Primary Health Care Services, Posyandu serving the entire human life cycle is carried out based on specific programs, namely Posyandu for Maternal and Child Health, Posyandu for Adolescents, Posbindu for Non-Communicable Diseases, and Posyandu for the Elderly.
