Mental Health for All: Understand, Cope, Accompany
According to WHO, the prevalence of mental disorders in Indonesia reached 9.8% in 2021, with depression accounting for 6.6%. This number is expected to continue rising in 2024, especially due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 I-NAMHS household survey even revealed that 1 in 3 teenagers in Indonesia experiences mental health issues. The trend of suicide attempts among youth is increasing, prompting the Indonesian government to view mental health as a critical public health issue that must be addressed seriously. Naturally, we are left with a pressing question: What is happening to the mental health of the Indonesian population?
