The effective and targeted use of village funds is the dream of the government and village communities in order to achieve a society that is efficient and able to manage the potential in the village.

Starting in 2023, one of the UPKM/CD Bethesda YAKKUM assisted villages, Kafakbeka Village is holding Herbal Soap Making Training which is funded by village funds. The Herbal Soap Training which was held on January 31, 2023, was aimed at tough village women.

The training was attended by representatives of Village Health Cadres and the local community, as well as UPKM/CD Bethesda YAKKUM as resource persons. During the training, the cadres and the community made 68 pieces of herbal soap. The herbal ingredients used are papaya leaves, willow leaves, lemongrass, turmeric and betel leaves. The extract is extracted as an ingredient for making herbal soaps as well as coconut oil and palm oil.

Mr. Lasarus Padama, as Head of Kafakbeka Village, said that this training aims to empower village communities, especially women in the village, to have the ability to be able to process village potential into resources that support the health and life of village communities.
