Optimal and impactful use of Village Funds is still a priority for the Village Government, and is a Community and Village Empowerment Office Program in Alor Regency. Following up on this, one of the UPKM/CD Bethesda YAKKUM assisted villages in the Alor Region, namely Welai Selatan Village, conducted a Malaria Disease Socialization activity for Village Health Cadres, using the 2022 Village Fund, which was held on February 2, 2023.
This activity was attended by Mr. Hendrik E Maibana, SE, as the Village Government sector (Community and Village Empowerment Service) and Mr. Syahbudin Syarif, as the Alor District P3MD Coordinator. The resource persons for this activity were Mrs. Sri H. Samoy, AMd.Keb and dr. Rilianda Simbolon from the Toyang Health Center, while the activity participants were the Integrated Healthcare Center (Posyandu) and Integrated Development Center (Posbindu) cadres in Welai Selatan Village.
In this activity, many things were mutually agreed upon as a follow-up plan. The follow-up plans include cleaning the environment and facilities that can cause mosquito breeding in the rainy season, budgeting for supporting equipment at the Posyandu which will be allocated to the 2023 village budget and creating an organic vegetable garden at the Posyandu location.
