January 22, 2023Prevention Socialization and Infectious Disease Control (Tuberculosis, Lung, Leprosy, Diarrhea, ARI, DHF, and Observation of Diseases with Potential Outbreaks) and Hamlet Meeting in Haikatapu Village, Rindi District, East Sumba Regency
Thursday, 12 January 2022 – UPKM/CD Bethesda YAKKUM East Sumba Area, together with the TB Management of the Tanaraing Public Health Center, conducted socialization on the prevention and control of infectious diseases (TB, Lung, Leprosy, Diarrhea, Respiratory Tract, Dengue Fever and Monitoring Potential Disease Outbreaks) which took place at Haikatapu Village Office. This socialization was carried out in conjunction with the Dusun Meeting. There were 26 people involved, namely the village administration, TB cadres, RT/RW administrators, hamlet heads, SALT teams, health cadres and community leaders.
This socialization was opened by the Head of Haikatapu Village, who hoped that; by participating in this outreach, people will know more about infectious diseases so that people can always be healthy.
Bethesda CD Area Manager of East Sumba said that; to start a healthy lifestyle, you have to start from yourself, so you can maintain the health of your family and the surrounding environment. The hope is that after the people who take part in this outreach when they return home, the community can share information regarding infectious diseases with their families.
The resource person in this socialization was Mrs. Ishyana Alex Udju, A.Md.Kep (TBC Manager). Apart from presenting the material, Ms. Ishyana also advised that; if the community knows there are members of the community who have an infectious disease and have not been treated, then immediately notify the village nurse or health center and get help.
